Instructions for Using the Grid Stamps
The 3X Grid stamp has two sides: on side 'A', the grid pattern is outlined. Side 'B' does not have a defined outline. Both sides are molded with fine print lines (like the AZ stamp) formed in the shape of checkerboard squares. Each square is out of phase with the adjacent square. While this sounds complicated, the effects are dramatic. The instructions for direct stamping and transfer stamping with the AZ stamp can also be used with the Grid stamp.
Direct Stamping Instructions for the Winter/Snowflake Example:
- Brayer the 3X Grid (Side 'A' - outlined side) with Vivid Desert Sky, and stamp on
glossy paper.
- Ink the snowflakes stamps (Northwoods *Judikins) withVivid Inky Blue and
Ultramarine, and the word stamp (Hero Arts) with Vivid Inky Blue, and stamp them
direct to paper over the background.
- Align and apply the lens.
Direct Stamping Instructions for the Tree Example:
- Ink the 3X Grid (plain side, Kaleidacolor Autumn Leaves) and stamp on glossy paper.
- Use the same pad to ink the tree stamp (JudiKins) and leaves (JudiKins cube stamp), and stamp the leaves and tree direct-to-paper on top of the grid background.
- Ink (black Ancient Page) the word stamp (Wordsworth) and stamp direct-to-paper.
- Align and apply the lens.
- Other possibilities:
- Use the 'A' side of the 3X Grid and stamp a grid background with a defined outline. Then, stamp direct-to-paper using small image stamps in the squares. Select the colors and stamps for the season (i.e. snowflakes for winter, seashells for summer, Halloween images or small leaves for fall, flowers for spring).
Transfer Stamping Instructions for the Apple Example:
- Ink (Kaleidacolor) the apple stamp (Rubber Stampede) and transfer the image to the 3X Grid (plain side 'B').
- Stamp the 3X Grid onto glossy cardstock.
- Ink (black Ancient Page and stamp the word stamp (My Sentiments Exactly) direct-to-paper on top of the apple.
- Other possibilities:
- Ink small stamps and transfer to the 3X Grid. Then stamp the 3X Grid, align and apply the lens to create a pattern of small images that come and go at different times as the card is flexed.
