Projects made with the lens and Active Image™ Print Paper appear (when viewed with
both eyes) to be in 3 dimension and exhibit faux motion when flexed. The
camera (having only one 'eye' - or lens) does not capture these dramatic
effects for viewing on the web site. So, use your imagination and trust me -
you can create exciting 3D cards!
The example green and red tags are made with Active Image™ AP 1006 Green
and AP 1001 Red papers, respectively, plus stickers.
- Apply stickers (PSX in the examples) to the printed paper.
- Use a bone folder or credit card to smooth the sticker to eliminate air pockets.
- Lay the lens over the tag and rotate the lens for desired appearance.
- Use the pencil line technique (see Techniques). The protective release film is removed from the back of the clear plastic lens.
- Align the lens and press down. Turn the tag over and press from the back side with a bone folder or fingernail to remove the air trapped around the edge of the sticker.
- Edge the tags using a gold Krylon or Pilot marker.
Note: The same steps were used to make the card on AP 1008
Gray paper with one exception: the gray paper was first stippled with a
Judikins Duster brush before the stickers were applied.
