Instructions for Transfer Stamping
The Thistle example introduces transfer stamping with the AZ System. Most conventional stamps can be used with this technique.
Steps:
- A Fred Mullet Thistle stamp is inked using a Kaleidacolor pad (Royal Satin) and transferred onto the large AZ stamp. This is done twice at different angles.
- The AZ stamp is then stamped onto glossy white paper.
- The Thistle stamp is re-inked and stamped directly onto the glossy white paper. Position this thistle between the previously stamped thistles.
- A small lens sheet is then carefully aligned using the release assist technique. Exact alignment is critical to get a come-and-go effect.
- Technique variations:
- align the lens to produce various colored line widths (easier than the careful alignment needed for come and go). The linear effect gives a new look to an existing stamp (envision a heart stamped image stamped directly onto glossy paper and the very same heart image transfer stamped to create a pattern of fine lines that develop with the lens. The result is two different images from the same stamp).
