May 2006

sample For May we feature a way to use directional or profile stamps. Stamps that face right or left can take on a double image using the Artlenz 'come-and-go' technique.

Stamps & Supplies Used:

-- Large AZ 4050

-- Artlenz® lens sheet AL45

-- White Glossy Card Stock

-- 'Woman' (CowTown Stamps)

-- Eclipse Masking Strips (JudiKins)

-- Tsukineko Impress inks: Mustard, Indigo, Autumn Leaf, Celeste Blue, Pale Aqua

-- Black ink (StazOn/Tsukineko or Ancient Page/Clear Snap)

-- Circle Die (Sizzix Large Circle)

-- Sponge or sponge stylus to apply inks

-- Optional: Fine gold tipped pen

  1. Stamp 'woman' with black ink onto AZ 4050 and stamp the AZ stamp onto glossy card stock.

  2. Ink 'woman' again and stamp to the left of the AZ image directly onto the card stock.

  3. Tear strips of the Eclipse mask and apply diagonally over the woman.

  4. Apply Tsukineko Impress inks direct to paper with sponge or stylus.

  5. Remove the masking strips and apply very light color in the masked area (color: Aqua)

  6. Align and apply lens circle for the come-and-go look.
