A quick technique with Active Image™ Paper
(Note: The 3D depth and motion observed with Active Image cards in-hand does not show up on the computer screen. You will have to use your imagination.)

This idea can be adapted for gift tags, holiday cards, thank you notes or invitations - a novel and unique way to share holiday wishes.

Stamps & Supplies Used:

-- AL 45 lens

-- 4 x 5 White Glossy card stock

-- Red and Green Active Image (A/P) print paper

-- Circle punches or dies (Sizzix and die used in this example)

-- Red and green markers

--Any holiday sentiment stamp (Used in example: Warm Wishes – Verses)

-- Bow stamp may be used with dye ink or draw with Red and Green Markers (Tsukineko Poppy and Red Emerald used in example)

  1. Randomly stamp holiday sentiment on white glossy card stock. Set aside to dry.

  2. Punch out desired number of circles in various sizes from A/P paper. Take two circles with the same diameter (one red – one green) and place together with lines going in the same direction and cut both in half on the diagonal.

  3. Then match up ˝ red and ˝ green

  4. Dab back of the ˝ circles with glue stick and position on previously stamped background.

  5. Place lens over the ˝ circle and observe the direction of the lens. If you desire larger lines (and more depth) or smaller lines, gradually rotate the punch-out and check until the alignment you want is achieved.

  6. Then glue the matching half in the second color in place.

  7. Continue this same procedure until all halves are in position on the stamped background.

  8. or draw bows/ribbons on top of circles.

  9. Peel liner and place lens over card stock. Smooth out the air from the back side and trim if necessary.

  10. If desired measure on back and draw lines for triangles, squares or rectangles and cut with scissors. Edge with a metallic pen if desired.
