The Artlenz System grew out of materials developed for 3D photography. A lenticular plastic lens (as used in certain 3D photographic applications) is combined with an Active Image™ print to produce dramatic results.

Definitions
Lenticular Plastic Lens – A thin plastic lens sheet having tiny rows of lenses or "lenticules" embossed on one surface.

Active Image Print – A printed or stamped image that is "activated" when the lenticular lens is placed and aligned on top of the image.
